“Perched on the crest of a prominent spur below Lions’ Head this house enjoys Cape Town’s most spectacular views – both north towards Robben Island and south across Camps Bay to the Twelve Apostles. The contours of the steep and highly visible site, which borders Table Mountain National Park, were respected with sensitive massing and minimal excavation. A plinth for expansive upper living levels is formed above secondary spaces whose break from natural ground is softened by an organically shaped planted wall.”
